CUMBERLAND – Brenda C. (Long) Pearson, age 67, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence. She was born on September 12, 1946 in Maryville, Tennessee as the daughter of Alvin and Margaret (Hines) Long. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1964. Brenda married Stephen D. Pearson on January 8, 1966 in Greenfield. She worked for CVS as a Pharmacy Technician for 14 years. Brenda enjoyed reading, crocheting, taking walks, planting, taking care of flowers, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her spouse, Steve Pearson of Cumberland; son, Doug (Melissa) Pearson of Indianapolis; daughter, Traci (Mark) Gill of Indianapolis; sister, Pat Schuyler of Greenfield and grandchildren, Kaylee, Kendra, Brayden, Kacey, Katie, and Mark Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Margaret (Hines) Long. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor Tom Scott will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana.
