GREENFIELD – Betty Locker Baxter, age 86, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on May 2, 1928 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ollie Dabney and Beatrice Christine (Wilson) Maupin. Betty was a housewife and had worked at 3-D, Wal-Mart, and Schultz IGA. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Russell (Gail) Locker of Greenfield and Anthony (Suki) Locker of Avondale, Arizona; daughter, Mary Meadows Roberson of New Palestine; grandchildren, Jeff Meadows, Kelly (Tim) Allen, George R. (Amanda) Locker, Matthew W. (Lacey) Locker; twelve (12) great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, her parents, husbands George Locker and Robert Baxter, and granddaughter, Jinny Meadows. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Fred Meadows will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
