Billie C. Wilson

GREENFIELD – Billie C. Wilson, age 83, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1933 in rural Memphis, Tennessee as the son of Robert S. and Annie L. (Brigance) Wilson. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1951. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman aboard the Princeton Aircraft Carrier during the Korean War from 1951-1956. After serving in the war, Billie received his accounting degree from Indiana Central Business College. He married Patricia (Cuppy) in 1957. He started Wilson Accounting Services in 1964 in Greenfield and owned and operated the company for 50 years before retiring. Mr. Wilson was a member of numerous community organizations including the Boys & Girls Club of Hancock County, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Quarter Midgets of America and Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega, Alabama. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and auto racing. Billie is survived by his wife, Patricia Wilson of Greenfield; two sons, Curtis (Sherry Libertore) Wilson of Greenfield and Blake (Myra) Wilson of Sheridan; daughter, April (William) Losin of Fishers; sister, Helen Wilson Miller of Greenfield; grandson, Jacob Losin of Fishers; and three granddaughters, Shelby and Haley Wilson of Sheridan and Erin Losin of Fishers. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Annie L. Wilson; brother, Robert B. Wilson; and sister, Martha Jessup. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. also at the mortuary. Revs. R.B. Bingham, Danny St. Clair and Luke St. Clair of Anderson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield with military rites presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Hancock County, 715 E. Lincoln St., Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
