GREENFIELD – Leonard Lewis Pendley, age 65, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on July 9, 1947 in Greenville, Kentucky, Leonard was the son of Sterlin Levi and Annie Elizabeth (Baker) Pendley. He graduated from Hughes Kirk High School in Beechmont, Kentucky in 1965. Leonard worked for Delco Remy for 29 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR in his free time. Surviving him are his son, Nathan Pendley of Greenfield; siblings, Barbara Nell Smith of Beechmont, Naomi (Darrell) Fleming of Beech Creek, Kentucky, Mary (George) Stevens of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Sheila (Terry) Benton and Lawrence (Pat) Pendley, both of Browder, Kentucky; and one grandson, Noah Pendley. He was preceded on death by his parents, Sterlin and Annie Pendley. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 20, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be at Mud River Union Cemetery in Belton, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Rd.
