Virginia “Jenny” Flora

CUMBERLAND – Virginia “Jenny” (Hall) Flora, age 73, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born on February 28, 1942 in Tompkinsville, KY as the daughter of Dennis Hall and Ruth Hall McPherson. She graduated from Tompkinsville High School. Jenny married Kenneth L. Flora on December 2, 1967 in Indianapolis. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Jenny was a member of Cumberland Christian Church. She enjoyed nature, gardening, and helping others. Jenny is survived by her husband, Kenneth Flora of Cumberland; children, Tonya Perkins of Indianapolis, Kenneth J. (Abbey) Flora of New Palestine, Terri Stuart of Greenwood, and Tammy (Brian) Gannon of North Carolina; brother, Harley Hall of Tompkinsville, KY; four grandchildren, Cammy, Alex, Lindsay (Nick), and Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Shane and Silas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Hall and Ruth Hall McPherson; and three brothers, Leon Hall, Roger Hall, and Vorce Hall. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Christian Church, 39 North Starter Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tom Scott will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be sent directly to Cumberland Christian Church, 39 North Starter Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229 or envelopes will be available at the church.
